Our Story
Where it all began
Why?
In 2019, Brian became a volunteer at Mother's Choice where he was responsible for caring for children in the Big Baby Room. The children he cared for
were strong, loving, and welcoming, which made him feel a sense of belonging and warmth. This experience inspired him to create the 1000 Suns charitable initiative, with the aim of spreading awareness and providing aid to the less fortunate.
When?
Brian got involved in charity work at an early age of 8. From helping pack and distribute meals to the homeless, to visiting the less fortunate who live in cage homes, he always felt a strong need to continue helping these people and give back to the community.
Who?
Brian Yip
Founder
Brian is a junior studying at Hong Kong International School. Spending most of his life in Hong Kong, he developed a deep passion for art, having won multiple prizes and awards. Additionally, his love for children and dedication to service intertwined together and sparked the idea of 1000 Suns.
